At Savvy Spender, we believe your financial data is exactly that�yours. We built this app to help you, not to harvest your data. We only collect what is absolutely necessary to make the app work, and we never sell your personal information to anyone.

We keep it to the bare minimum:
- Your Account: Just the basics like your name, email, and authentication identifiers so you can log in securely.
- Your Content: The receipts, paychecks, notes, and categories you upload. We process these to organize your dashboard, but they belong entirely to you.
- App Performance (Analytics & Crashlytics): We look at anonymous, aggregated data (like device type, OS, and crash reports) to figure out if the app is crashing or where we can improve it. We do not track your personal behavior.
- Payment Data: Handled entirely by our secure payment processors. Savvy Spender never sees or stores your full credit card numbers.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used strictly to make Savvy Spender better for you:
- To provide the core services, like AI-powered extraction and receipt categorization.
- To catch bugs, fix crashes, and improve overall app performance.
- To maintain security and prevent fraud.
- To send you important account updates (and you can always opt out of any marketing emails).
Data Storage & Processing (The "No Selling" Promise)
We do not sell your personal data. Period. We also never share your personal content (like your receipts or income) with third parties for marketing purposes. To make the app work, your data is securely stored and processed using essential infrastructure providers, such as our secure cloud servers, analytics tools, and payment processors. These entities are bound by strict contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for operating the app. We may also disclose data if legally required to do so.
Data Retention & Security
We hold onto your data only as long as you need us to provide the service. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to keep your data safe. While no system is 100% hack-proof, protecting your privacy is our top priority.
Your Rights & Control

For our users in the EEA and UK, we process personal data based on the performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests (like fixing bugs and keeping the app secure), legal obligations, and your consent where applicable.

Our services aren't designed for anyone under 13. If we accidentally collect data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
International Transfers
Your data may be stored or processed outside your home country. When we do this, we ensure appropriate legal safeguards are in place to keep it protected.
